Come experience and sample the culinary talents of Charles Connell, Executive Chef at the Doubletree Hotel in Sacramento.
Chef Charles Connell is a 1988 graduate of the prestigious Professional Chef’s Program at the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco. He has worked in some of the finest kitchens in California, including the destinations of Santa Barbara and San Francisco. His last ten years have been with the Doubletree Hotel Sacramento, where he oversees the hotel’s $5 million a year food operation.
While not in the kitchen at the Doubletree, you can usually find the Chef teaching cooking classes at local elementary schools or perfecting his passion for barbeque.
His approachable and down-to-earth demeanor has earned him two “Manager of the Year” awards with Doubletree, and the highly sought after State Championship in the annual California State Fair’s “Golden Bear Chef’s Challenge”. In 2006, his culinary talent and creativity earned him the coveted “Chef of the Year” by the California Chapter of the American Culinary Federation.
